Dan Cevallos: It's been really cool to see kind of an eye opening among a lot of the church on these issues. He says one resonating issue is theological minimalism, where we're just trying to boil down the faith into the fewest number of things you must do or believe to be a Christian. And it ends up replacing rich, robust catechesis with emotional spirituality that infects every aspect of life and becomes this absolute monster which grows and consumes more Christians. "We've mistaken repentance and conversion for sometimes the whole thing," he says.
