Rawls's Liberalism Is a Defense of the Good Life
In 2016, there were already some distinct challenges to the health of liberalism at large. And so that led me to Rawls as I think the preeminent figure in modern political philosophy who attempts to develop a defense of liberalism. In our contemporary age which is an age of great polarization, the hollowing out of the center of what's most needful is a liberalism that augments and invigorates a sense of common purpose. So with the difficulties in Rawls I found the route back to Kant because Kant of course was Rawls's inspiration so he became mine too.
