Federal FM, a Voice for All
On April 1, federal FM signed onto the air from a secret location in Yangon. Most opposition groups broadcasting to a war-torn country do it from outside the borders with high-powered shortwave radio. Federal went small, using compact transmitters that look like consumer electronics. What they lack in range, they make up for, in portability.
