In 2020, after the Cisco case, Apple explicitly banned discrimination on the basis of cast. Tim Morris was approached by Google News to prepare a talk about cast in the newsroom. He says some employees started to report Timori as anti-Hindu. But anthropologist Belmari Nutrajan says critiquing cast is not same thing as critiquing Hinduism.
