The Difference Between REITs and Regular Real Estate Investment

Ash Dio: I feel like, especially for me being a host on one of the most popular real estate podcasts out there, it's like my reputation precedes me in a lot of places. When you invest into a REIT, it's almost the same thing as going into E-Trade and a Robinhood and buying a stock. The downside is that A, the returns are typically significantly lower than what you would get by doing it yourself; B, the ability to control the asset isn't there because instead you're putting your faith in the leadership of whatever REIT you're investing into.
