Free Birth - I'm the Descendedant of a Grandma Who Died at Home

Free Birth is a movement dedicated to giving birth at home without medical assistance. The group was started by Jeanette Frazier, an Australian woman who gave birth in her living room and called herself "Joyous Birth" In December 2007, she coined the term rape-mimicry for what she thought doctors were doing to their patients during childbirth. Dr. Scott Pierce has been sentenced to one year of medical probation after being found guilty of violating his patient's civil rights when he abused Catherine Skoll while caring for her fifth child.
