Introduction

The story of the american revolution begins with the end of the french and an war in 17 63. Any truly comprehensive account would require 13 different chapters for every major turning point in history, from the sugar act to the ratification of the constitution. Unfortunately, we don't really have the time to provide that kind of comprehensiveness. But let me state unequivocally that the revolution was provoked, debated and waged in every colony.
