The Toolbox of the Avant-Garde

I like this idea that we probably live in a world which is drenched in irony, but also perhaps one which irony is allied to cynicism. We must ask ourselves what communication strategy and tactics could pierce the membrane of dominant ideology? I think that our toolbox must be inventoried, re- inventory, re-arranged. For each tool that we have in the box, we must find out whether it's still has an effective critical use or not.
