How Much Cash Should You Hold at One Point?

The amount of cash you hold depends on interest rates, inflation rates and your overhead expenses or liquidity requirements. So I will hold more cash when A, interest rates are high or B, inflation is low - remember they're very linked. But it's wise to start with one month overhead, get to three months overhead,get to a year overhead. And then essentially what you're doing is moving money into different asset classes that you think you can get the best return on.
