What's Going on With Real Estate?
For 40 years, we haven't seen anything like this since 82, 81. The last interest rate spike we saw was mid-2000s leading up to the financial crisis. In real estate, Parlance, it's the inverse of a multiple cap rate, a yield. And so what we see happening now is the Fed is hard at work trying to cool the economy in a way that ideally doesn't have a tough landing.
