Who’s Responsible for Jordan Neely’s Death?
Notes from America with Kai Wright
The Jury Nullification of the Bernhard Gett's Case
Brian Williams: Bernhard Gett's case is a classic case of jury nullification. He shot four young black males on the subway anticipating that he was going to be mugged according to him. A jury of his peers, of his overwhelmingly white peers, decided that shooting black people who bother you on the subway isn't actually a crime. Choking black people to death might not be a crime in this city.Williams: Had I been on the subway, I would have been scared too. We live in a violent society because NRA and Republican gun laws have turned the society into a war zone.
