Trying to do something else can be really, really helpful. Sometimes things like say, brown noise, pink noise, some kind of a way to keep some part of your mind occupied. Or just why you're more likely to remember something that happened in a traumatic incident rather than something that just happened in passing. It also feels, if not related to at least, not dissimilar from, in ADHD where, you know, I'm just going from the science for people like me with ADHD.
