Using Tree Based Algorithms to Predict a Decision
Most people use forests, like gradient boosted trees. They're harder to overfit than a decision tree is. So all of those things are defaulted, you should be tuning them. And you should be running a lot of experiments when you're dealing with tree based algorithms.
