France's new president, Emmanuel Macron, has been making hay in China. He declared that France will not be dragged into a state of belligerence against China but for any reason and certainly not because the United States wants to create a Kazos belly over Taiwan. The German political situation is extremely brittle with there they see the leader of France, their traditional foe and their rival inside the European Union making hay with Xi Jinping in China. And why shouldn't he? That's the job of a national leader after all to do the best for their own country.
