The Class Divide: The Art of Reading
The arts are a saviour to that because they give you an insight into otherness empathy with other people's way of looking at things through the act of reading itself. The idea cannot be separated from its aesthetic it cannot as a moral virtue cannot not have English literature and English characters doing it, says Lewis. It has to be somewhat channeled through that aesthetic and that's a hard argument to make and hopefully I'll pull it off but that's the claim.
