Germany's Economic Dependence on Russia

The economic dependence on Russia, particularly when it comes to energy, there's a question of what comes first here. The idea that you would hear in Berlin is that through economic interdependence, we are going to make sure that Russia doesn't attack us. I don't think that dependence on Russia is shaping the German response to Ukraine right now. But at this point, I think there has been a real wake up call. There's a real reckoning with the mistakes of the past. And there's a real sense of not wanting to go down that road again.
