The French Pursued the Nuclear Power Option
We invented civilian nuclear power in the fifties when i was born. In the late sixties, britain had more civilian nuclear power than rest of world put together. And yet we now rely on french companies like e d f, finish companes, japanese companies, american companies, even chinese companies. If some people had their way to maintain and build our new nuclear energy, it's less than a fifth of our energy. The government could freeze these renewable subsidies on our electricity bills. They could cut v a t on fuel bills, not least because you can do that now we've left the european union. All this adds up, i think,
