And Apple and Google have built their infrastructures to allow for that kind of geo-fencing. But within the US and within countries themselves, when you are able to cross a state line with nobody checking your passport, Apple and Google will then need to start tracking you in a different way. That just sounds like a privacy nightmare. This ban is trying to avoid in the first place by accusing ByteDance of tracking its users and collecting that information.
