Most people pay little attention to how they interpret events. They feel the emotional reaction. But there's an intermediate step there. You have to interpret that event. That event doesn't automatically like a reflex, create that anger or upset or frustration in you. If I take that personal, if I look at what she's saying and I twist it toward me, I'm worried upset.
