Octopuses at octopolis and aclantis interact with each other. They are little temporary octopus communities that are forming. That's never been observed in the wild before scientists ive discovered these sights. The diver matthew lawrence, who initially discovered one of these sights, he told me that they interact with him when he, when he dove down and found them. So they have interacted with humans as well. And there are all sorts of people that have octopuses as pets and interacted with them too.
Octopuses are largely solitary animals, but there have been rare times — notably in the movie My Octopus Teacher — where they seem to have become comfortable around humans. But is it really possible to be friends with an octopus?
