Labour didn't win with a bigger majority in 64. But we shouldn't really blind ourselves to the achievement of Wilson's achievement, says Lord Tebbit. He is reversing Harold McMillan's great victory in 59 when they had a roughly 100-seat majority. And then two years later, after a period of 18 months of young, dynamic rule where nothing much goes wrong, he then wins a much bigger majority in 1966 of around 100 seats. So his achievement over this period is really quite remarkable. Obviously, Kierstammer would take that at the drop of a hat if he could reverse or get rid of the 80-seat majority of Boris Johnson and turn it into a 100
