Epicurus was one of the founders of the Hellenistic schools. He launched a philosophical school that would still be alive and well in the Roman Empire. We have several extant writings, as well as a collection of memorable sayings intended to summarize his key teachings. The latest entry in our ever-expanding Diogenes collection is Diogenes of Oenuanda who like Epicurus lived after him.
