Introduction
Producer prices were up a little less than estimates. The main reason for the smaller than expected rise was a big drop in gasolene prices that really held down the number. Consumers have been spared the full wrath of inflation because producers have been eating some of those price increases and not passing them on. But as i was saying all last year, i expect that to change this year.
