Jujitsu - Is Your Guard Passed?

Guard retention is essentially the bread and butter of jigits. Always try to prevent your guard from being passed before you start doing fancy looking chokes. In order to really effectively supupply a submission, you need both of your arms and both of your legs. Losing your guard is so bad in jujitsu because it takes away any realistic possibility of submission.
