The Three Gods of the Babylonian Pantheon

Babylonian pantheon contains far more than three gods. Over most of the recorded history, other gods played a more integral role in human affairs. The most important of these more immediate gods were associated with the planets. Of these, Inanna occupies a particularly special place and had an outsized position in Babylonian astrology.
