Pennsylvania Railroads - A Novel of the Same Name

In 18 59, andy potts is appointed superintendent of the pennsylvania railroads pittsburg division. He also takes on the title of capitalist as he uses the money earned to create more business in the industrial city. His most important of these companies comes in 18 65 when he forms the keystone bridge company. Andy backs the building of this, the first bridge to span the mighty mississippi river. But iron isn't quite strong enough. They have to go with something stronger, steel. The saint louis or edes bridge is delayed and not completed until 18 74.
