How Can You Overcome Confirmation Bias in Your Talk?

People are less outcome oriented than you would think. You want to try as much as possible to present that decision as having been arrived at by the group. It's still better to have signposting at the beginning of your talk that says this is what I'm going to be saying even if you didn't have a chance to preview it with people privately beforehand. So like overcoming confirmation bias in yourself. Like overcoming people's distrust in you in a space because you screwed up in that space at some point in the past.
