Salesmen without formal education, just like business owners, are pretty good ator selling their things. And they generally do well with closing sales. Where i see their sales numbers drop is not due to their inability to close, it's due to an inability consistent work flow. More important than performance reviews is evaluating where that staff member stands in terms of their fulfilment and how much they enjoy their job. Do they feel like their being compensated fairly, or are they making enough money for their livelihood? If they 're not, they will eventually leave, no matter how fulfilled they are. Generally, if you have higher fulfilment, you can get away with shitier compensation.
