How Does a Third Person Perspective Affect the Memory?
Most people will report that most of their memories, particularly recent memories, they experienced from a first person perspective. But a minority of memories are seen from a third person, or observer perspective where you see yourself in the memory. And so we've done some brain scanning studies, mostly looking at what happens when people change memory perspective. What brain regions are involve, how does that impact the memory?
