The Night Will Be Fearful
Gar and Wamba were travelling through a forest in Mary England. Gar was driving his herd down one of the long dim vistas which we have endeavoured to describe. A terrible storm of thunder and lightning is raging within a few miles of us. For some moraine I never saw such broad down-right flat drums fall out of the clouds, and oaks too,. notwithstanding the calm weather. The remains of this extensive wood are still to be seen at the noble seats of Wentworth, of Warren Cliff Park, and around Rotherham.
