Is There a Kind of Cognitive Dissonance Growing Up in This Culture?
I was first performing the play in a long run off broadway when the cavana hearings were happening. And i think even then, the intense rage and grief around all of that was in part because we could all see, like a slow motion car crash, what was coming. I've just been thinking a lot lately, inspired by the great asilu lawyer and activist cha strangio, to remember these fights are connected. It's one big fight to have control over our own bodies and the way we shape our lives.
