The Importance of Nachmanides in Judaism

Moses Ben-Nachman, or Ramban, was a relatively conservative legal scholar. He insisted upon the possibility that God intervenes within nature to work his will. Nachmanides seemed a natural ally for the critics of Maimonides. They wrote to him requesting him to join them in declaring war on the Great Eagle. But he replied by encouraging them to release the doves of peace.
