Australian businessman Eddie Eiger was sued by Deckers Outdoor Corporation for selling generic Australian UGG boots online to American buyers. In most other countries, if someone were to use the word UGG to describe a sheepskin woolly boot they were selling, they would step right into Deckers' legal web.
