The Criticism of High Church Liturgy
I like what you said about the roteness quote unquote being something that you end up liking, like the routine or the ritual of it actually being part of the appeal. And I don't some of the prayers of the liturgy. Part of me just thinks there's nothing that I could pray that would better express either like confession or praying for other people praying for the world and preparing for communion. It's comforting to me that I actually don't have to come up with the words weekend and week out. But I am not interested in wholesale dismissing a liturgical because other people are personal, other people wrote it,. Other people wrote recipes that work really well.
