A Discussion of Balance Sheet Normalization After the Global Financial Crisis
At the conclusion of the large scale assic purchase programs after the global financial crisis, now the committee did undertake balance sheet normalization that lasted about two years. And there were several aspects of that previous approach that the committee felt ino remained applicable. But there weresoe also some differences. The Committee noted that the economic outlook is much stronger now than in the previous episode, and that the balance sheet is much larger. So as the minutes in the chair noted, and o no decisions have been made, the f m c is going to be discussing these balance sheet issues in coming meetings.
