The Importance of Atonement

Atonement is about the conscience um and if somebody's conscience is eating at like you know because of mistakes that they have made or just wrongs that they've done. In the Hebrew the literal meaning of the word atonement is to cover which oh my goodness how much bad theology has come out of this idea of needing to cover over sin however that's not at all how the word is used in Leviticus when it's talking about ritual atonement.
