It was found in britain, and it was given as a free gift to the museum. And hence its there is no danger of its being repatriated to another country from which it might have been robbed or raited by subterfuge. So in a way, you could say the suttonho treasure are kind of the anchors, really, of the bittish museum collection. They're the most essential thing that they will never give up. As long as there is a britian museum, it will never be sold.
