Good News Is Good News, Right?
The participation rate for the job market is still well below pre-pandemic levels. This was a very strong number and it's on a relative basis telling you the job market remains strong. The fact that the market was down 1% when this would have been good news, bad news on some level, good news is good news here. We are creating hundreds of thousands of jobs and wage gains aren't picking up steam. This is like job gains without inflation.
