The Harvard House

Stacked houses were designed to maximise the amount of space available. The harvard house was built in 15 96 by butcher and cattle merchant Thomas rogers. It is a one bay house, but grander merchants might have two or even three bays. Painting directly on to the wall panels was a common way of carrying on.
