I think the other trend you're going to see is just a continuation of decentralized front ends to centralized services. An interesting example of this is Nitter, which are self implemented Twitter front ends that allow you to view Twitter threads logged out. And when one gets shut down, four more pop up. It's kind of doing like this back end Google search for you and then delivering you the results. Another example is lib Reddit. So it's a way to kind of gain a little bit of privacy while still participating in these really popular centralized services.
