edda's time as party chairman was a bit of a disaster. He moved on the issue before ing a base of support within the party or within soho, its most important constituency. Even though onpo suggested the socialists could build a powerful mass movement, edda and his fellow reformers moved too fast to do so with stability. Long term, the vision likely would have worked.
