In 17 12, we're talking about a new york city population of, ah, eight thousand people or so. So this is when hen that may sound a small band, 50, 75, a hundred people, but that's actually a massive part of the population. And if you just look at the fight itself, before the arrests, i mean, as you mention in the introduction, they kill nine people,. and what had been hoping to do was to inspire a broader rebellion.
