Are Standing Desks Scientifically Better for Athletes Than Sitting All Day?

Standing desks are scientifically better for athletes than sitting all day and how is that quantifiable thinking about converting my office set up to standing but don't want to waste money. A study from 2017 looked at energy expenditure over a one-hour period in three different conditions so they either were just doing their desk work for an hour just sitting at their desk or they did 30 minutes of sitting and 30 minutes of standing or they did the full hour standing. Compared with sitting the combination of standing and sitting gave them an additional 5.5 calories per hour so it increased their energy expenditure by about seven or eight percent now compared to sitting if you stood the whole hour that increased energy expenditure by  an eleven
