Aya Sangha - The Eight Persons
The noble Sangha means all of those with some genuine degree of realisation to use that word or insight if you like. So this is not an evaluative thing, it's not that the ordained Sangha are necessarily more committed than members of the Maha Sangha. But what they have done, they've explicitly joined a particular order. And yes you find them in images, so it would include mythical beings will be regarded as being members of the Aya Sangha. You can't really assume that people are to some extent enlightened but you can't assume that they aren't either.
