The Resilience of a Grandpa
I think during this period of anti-Asian scapegoating, I have really felt quite a lot of comfort from the fact that my family members survived what happened to them. And oftentimes I would feel both things at the same time. The other thing too was that in that period that I'm writing about where my great-grandmothers land in our building as upstairs downstairs neighbors from each other. Yeah, yeah. Do you find that significant to think about how much resilience your family would have to have? My grandpa still had great pride in the railroad that he worked on. So there's a lot of that in the book.
