What Does It Mean to You and Me?
When people use the word recessionthat means two back to back quarters of negative growthtat your definition as the technical definition of the reaction. To you and me, i think it means a a loss of jobs and a loss in your networth because it's the falling of asset prices that comes with the recession. Now, the patworths a possability of sliding to a depress so depression, i would suggest, is a much longer, more extended period. I don't think that can happen right now. The fed balance sheet disguises all bad things. When they print money, it lowers the purchasing power of the dollar. And most of the central banks at the same time do it
