QE and the Reverse Repo Facility

QE starts around above 7 percent savings rate. The reverse repo is the bank buys a treasury and gives dollars back to the Fed. As the savings rate fell, now the need for reserves technically isn't as high. But that money's still not coming out of the reverse repo facility. Because it's still better than lending it out into the market.
