Wanna's Journey to Mexico City

In 1656, when she was about eight, Wanna's grandfather died. At the same time, her mother started a relationship with a man named Diego Ruiz Lozano. The family doesn't seem to have been looked down on or ostracized because of any of this. Several people within the family went on to marry prominent respected men and attend university.
