The Negative Effect of the CSO on the GDP Data
If you file an RTI, so see MCA 21 data, let's say there are 11 lakh companies that register with the Ministry of Company Affairs in any given year. You basically need all their data and the MCA does not provide it publicly. So unless the MCA decides to make it publicly available in a user friendly manner, it is very difficult for us to get the data. And just getting the data itself is not the end of the story because you also need details of the methodological changes that the CSO had brought about.
