Rudy Giuliani has seen what Donald has done to myself, what he's done to so many attorneys that have fallen by the wayside because of foolish fealty to the fuhrer. And at the end of the day, Rudy doesn't want what happened to me to happen to him. Maybe now he's willing to cooperate. Maybe he didn't require a subpoena. Maybe he went involuntarily because he knows if you go involuntarily, it certainly looks better. The prosecutors who probably still have some shred of respect for him will probably give him the benefit of the doubt if they don't force his hand.
